Botac is advertising these for 39.50 for 50 cells. Made by North American
Battery Company. Has anybody tried these cells? I know Botac does not
have a great rep here but i've had no problems ordering cells there.

if I were a user of the cells, id worry more about the quality of the cells than the problems when you order:ohgeez:

Believe it or not they actually give technical specs and might be American made.

Got mine from Amazon.com, have had no problems out of them, but they don't last very long in my Maxfire. Like 15-20 minutes.

I have Ultralast 3.0V R123A rechargeables and they work fine. I picked them up at Fry's. They're not made in the USA tho. they're made in China, and distributed by NABC. I've never tried their primaries tho, but I like my 3.0V R123As fine.

No kidding ? Fry's has RCR123's? How much were they? - ah just checked Fry's online - $9.99 each - umm okay for local but I'd get them online before going out to buy much at that price. Best RCR123's online are less in price than that. But good to know a Brick and mortar store actually now has them.

I believe NABC is an importer of Chinese batteries. Some of their products may be similar to what you might see from smaller importers that you're familiar with from here, like Tenergy or Amondotech, but this company seems to have a much broader distrubution channel.

I am also running ultralast rechageble batteries in my d-mini. I got them at The Source for 29.99$ they seem to do ok and the charger seems to be of ok quality. It has already paid for it'self compared to buying cr123 they are like 18$ for two up here :thumbsdow

I've only tried a few Ultralast batteries. A CR123A gave 65% of the run time of a Surefire brand cell in my P1. I bought a few CR-3Vs for my camera. One was dead right out of the package. Another tested at 60% capacity with a ZTS tester. In my view, they're junk. But Fry's seems to be going completely to Ultralast -- I couldn't find any other brand for several battery types I was looking for. So I'll be finding somewhere else to buy batteries.

UltraLast CR123A's are made in China by Great Power which is one of the better Chinese Lithium mfrs.
Wow, then the other Chinese batteries must be awful indeed!
