I feel like I should know this by now, but I don't. What type of bulb is the WA01160? Is it a bi-pin bulb?

yes bi-pin.

G4, 4mm spacing, 0.7mm diameter stiff pins to be exact. Any bulb with these specs will be interchangeable.
