I noticed that the red outer rim of the reflector
(between the bezel and the reflector) of the MMR-X
flashlight glows in the dark when the flashlight is
turned off. It seems to contain small flecks of
glow-in-the-dark (phosphorescent) material inside it,
similar to glitter.
I am wondering if anyone else knows any other
FourSevens lights that contain glow-in-the-dark parts
or unadvertised features. I have not noticed any
glow-in-the dark parts in any other FourSevens lights.
I am wondering if this feature is deliberate,
or if it is a by-product of the manufacturing
process.
It would be interesting to see a fully
glow-in-the-dark flat bezel as an optional
accessory. It would be automatically charged
by the usage of the flashlight, and help keep
the flashlight from being lost at night, since
flashlights often have a low-visibility color
such as black. Also, it would be visible when
the light is standing on its head (unlike the
pre-existing MMR-X glow-in-the-dark ring
around the reflector).

That is indeed very cool!

I dont have any glow in the dark, but i may swap tail cap out :-d

The shroud of the Quark Tactical lights is just the right width so that extending one's thumb across both sides effectively prevents clicking the light on when only momentary activation is desired. it is therefore easy to either click the light on or avoid clicking the light on, depending on one's purpose, just by how the thumb is positioned.

On the video below explaining new products for 2015, the MMU-X3R is stated to have a continuous runtime of 30 days if the power is dialed down all the way - now that's a feature that's not normally advertised!:

See video below at approximately the 4:02 minute runtime point where the above is mentioned.

It seems that the MMR-X (the aluminum frame version purchased in 2014) has a low battery indicator light feature that is not advertised or described in the manual. When the battery is low, the charging indicator light turns on and is red whenever the flashlight is powered on. If you fully recharge the battery, the charging indicator light no longer turns on when the flashlight is powered on. This is a useful feature, if it is intentional.
