So, I think most of us know of the unbranded LEP out there... If you don't, google 'unbranded LEP 1lumen' for the review. So I had to replace the PCB/display because of some odd issues.... while I had. it open I took out the LEP module.

Anyone have any wild guesses on who makes these and what the specs are? I'm very curious what the blue diodes the pump these things are rated at. 500mW? 1W? Less?

Here is a pictures of the module. Not sure I've seen a pic of it on the boards before, so offering it up. The QR code decodes to the same model number printed on it.

I have a 2.5W blue pointer and a piece of LEP glass/crystal - It's pretty amazing when I just put it over the beam. Instant white light flood with no hot spot - just a slight tinge of blue in the middle.

Any info on the module would be appreciated. Curious if anyone has modded LEP modules with crazy high power LEDs and appropriate drivers. Yea Yea, not safe.... just talking lab setting.

Stumbled on this. Look familiar? 4.7W blue? If thats real measurements, that's quite a lot. If it's the same one in the unbranded LEP.

Curious how much power is lost reflecting off the phosphor.

Still curious who actually makes these and for what purpose. I seriously doubt they are made for flashlights as their main sales source.
