First off, I hate doing this and would be happy to have this deleted, but I thought it be best to let everyone know. I also think I've been patient enough. I bought a flashlight from Genna and haven't received it and am not getting a response to private messages. In the end it is what it is. Buyer beware. Below is a timeline.

12/26 - Paid for flashlight.
1/1 - Asked for update, no response.
1/6 - Asked for update and told it would ship in a couple days.
1/20 - Asked for update, no response.
1/24 - Asked for update, no response.
1/31 - Asked if flashlight shipped in sales thread, no response.

Maybe it's on its way (at this point I doubt it), maybe it's not. A little communication goes a long way. Overall, I'm hoping it's not a health issue and I just got ripped off….. if I hear from Genna and receive the light I will let everyone know.
 
I think all users having bought something from Gena used PayPal (not PP Family and Friends). It should be possible to get the money back if nothing is coming. I would keep in focus the end day of the buyer protection.

If there is still time left of the buyer protection it could be an idea on trying to get in contact. Somethings things are happening and you are in Hospital or knocked off in some way and you are offline.
Only to prevent misunderstandings, it should be clear if someone paid for something it has to be shipped to this person...

I bought years and year ago something from Genna and everything was fine.

Unfortunately I'm not aware of when Skylumen paid Genna, but at least one other member paid Genna in mid December and got nothing. Meanwhile Genna continued to "sell" flashlights and failed to ship them. I'm not trying to start anything here, just want people to stop giving Genna their money or at least be aware of the risk that at this point you will likely get nothing. The other member I'm not naming had a deal with Genna about two weeks prior to mine. Never got anything and no response from Genna. In the mean time, Genna took money from me and responded to at least a couple pm's. That doesn't look good…
 
I have dealt with Genna in the past, and it has always been perfect—timely and correct.

Very sad to hear this.
 
I bought a light from Genna last year. I paid for it on September 28 and received the light on November 5. Decent communications the while.

I figured I'd share my timeline as well:

-12/15 sent @Genna payment for (2) flashlights
-12/16 @Genna acknowledged receipt of payment
-12/19 asked for update
-12/21 responded that he had the flu and would ship that day
-12/23 asked for an update
-12/24 responded that he would be shipping after the holidays
-12/29 asked for an update, no response
-1/4 asked for an update, no response
-1/6 responded that he'd ship in two days
-1/14 asked for an update, no response
-1/22 asked for an update, no response
-2/5 asked for an update, no response

I've sent thousands of dollars over the last few years via PayPal to sellers of various items and have always used G&S. This is the first time that I've used F&F because of the reputation that @Genna seemed to have on CPF and it seems to have bit me in the…

Like @nmiller I do not like doing this and I also feel like I've been more than patient.

I hope that my lights arrive but at this point I'm not very optimistic. If anything changes I'll update as well.
 
Where's Genna from, and are/were there any shipping sanctions in place?

A quick search shows Germany has made weapon or combat intended lights illegal to own or sell without a valid hunting license. Anything we can say about Genna is purely speculative at this point, but surefires certainly fall under the scope, being marketed as tactical and all...

All he has to do is say there is an issue. He mentioned a health issue of a friend and a tremendous loss. Nothing about sanctions etc. I'm a patient guy and will wait. No big deal. I'll even take my money back. No hard feelings. I don't care. Theft, possible lies, and zero communication….. not my cup of tea. The trend of ignoring people and trying to sell elsewhere is unacceptable.

I also want to reiterate that I hate doing this. My order was relatively small compared to others. I just don't want to see more people get hurt and lose hard earned money. I even told Genna if he makes this right all will probably be forgiven. He's been a long time member here and things happen. He just has to do the right thing at this point. Refunds or ship lights.
