Updating a KL2 and an ARC

I'm back after a long absence and haven't kept up with LED technology but I'm reading up on it here.

My question is, can I use the existing electronics in these lights and just change the emitter/optic/reflector? I'm thinking XP-G but I could use some help getting pointed in the right direction.

(SF KL-2 and ARC LS)
