One of my favorite headlamps in my collection is my Princeton tec eos tactical. It offers decent output, usable beam shape and moderate waterproof rating.
It lacks modern led output/efficienecy and I do not care for the 3aaa batteries. Also, although I've never had a problem over the years, the pivot does not inspire confidence.
Addition features I really value are the on in low mode and the easy to use red lens filter.
I doubt there are any headlamps out there similar with updated emitters, but what would be some similar type options? I really value the waterproof rating and the on in low mode operation. Red filter is nice but second to these other functions.
