Others might benefit from this exchange between another CPFer asked me:
Paul,
"I've seen you mention that you currently run a P91 on two Pila 600Ps in a Wolfeyes body and I am a bit confused about their line up and how you have managed to do this. Aren't all the Wolfeyes bezels a bit larger in diameter than Surefire's? Or are Wolfeyes and Surefire parts compatible with each other?"
My reply:
"A Wolf Eyes tactical head measures 36mm across; a Surefire tactical head, about 32mm. Yet their tactical (D26, or 26mm) lamps are interchangeable, so long as you use the big wide spring [corrected from screen] when using a Surefire body and remove it when using a Wolf Eyes body. Also, the cells may need to be reversed to accommodate the different lamp design. I've used four brands of lamp in my Wolf Eyes bodies (Wolf Eyes, Surefire, Lumens Factory, and RICO), and believe me, it's not easy keeping these rules straight.
"Finally, with a P91 installed, the Wolf Eyes head won't screw down all the way. Almost, but not quite.
"My cells are Wolf Eyes 168A; I've never owned Pila's new cells, just a couple Pila 150S cells (relabeled Wolf Eyes 150Bs).
"I think I asked in the Leef thread whether 168A cells and 600P cells will fit a Leef, and someone replied yes, they will, but you might have to whack the body onto the edge of a table to dislodge the cells--the fit is tight. Let us know if you succeed. And please, I encourage you to post questions like these directly in the forum. I guarantee you that others will be interested, too."
