Vancouver Get-together?

I would be coming from the valley, so only low limited area in North Van.
I do know there is a Tim Hortons at around 1384 Main St.
From there, there is a golf course, and 3 parks not too far away.

Looks like Lynnmouth Park, Marie Place Park & Currers Island Park would work for some outdoor areas?
Actually Seylynn Park looks reasonable too.

Ok, so Tim Horton's at 1384 Main St., North Van at 6:30pm. Sounds good. I'll get to use the GPS I picked up on Boxing week. 😀 Here's the Google Map link.

So are we going to do the park thing rain or shine? Or play it by ear? This entire week's forecast is non-stop rain. I think I'll bring my M6/1185 in case we decide to play outside. 🙂

Let's Do 6:30...
Btw, bring your L-Mini if you want to try out my turbo-head.

I'm happy to do it rain or shine. I wish I had an incan Mag mod, but I'll bring my P7 Mag for some area lighting. 🙂

Rats, I wish I was single again sometimes. Unfortunately I can't make it this time around. I would have brought a modded wf800 1.5amp single mode and a modded RC-29 with dx7880. I don't have a collection of expensive lights, I'm more into making custom lights, even then it's hard to find time for. New baby has taken all my spare time - but it's all good.lovecpf

Hopefully traffic is light tonight.
Looking at the map, and parking etc. I think Bridgman Park might be okay. Kinda close to the highway, but with the parking & trails, I'm sure we can find a dark place. It's only about 3 minutes from Timmy's.

Just look for the guys with the flashlights. Trust me, you'll know who they are!

I'll grab some food and a table and put a light in the middle of the table.

😉

It was nice meeting everyone and seeing all of the other lights.

Ditto that, it was a good time. Nice to finally get to check out some Surefires, McGizmos, and other lights for the first time! Not to mention, nice to meet more Flashaholics. 😛

Nice-Light, thanks! That was really generous of you and is much appreciated. :grin2:

It was nice to meet some local fellow flashaholics. Next time we'll meet up when it's not raining so much. All the lights I brought along are sitting on a paper towel drying as I type... heh, good thing they're all weather resistant. 😀

Nice-Light, I hope you caught your ferry on time. And like Hack on Wheels said, Thank you very much, that was really generous of you. And it was also nice to handle some of the Fenixes that I wouldn't have otherwise had a chance to play with.

Had a good time too. Great to put some faces to the names around here.
Yeah, only a wife or other flashaholics can relate to 6 guys, standing in a park, in the pouring rain, shining flashlights & trees, cans, gym equipment, and possibly the appatment buildings across the way:poke:

Finally got to hold some McGizmos and other nice lights.

Not sure if anyone got a "table shot" of all the lights on the tables. Pretty sure the other Timmy customers thought we were a "bit off"😗

Till next time.
John

Launch Mini, I guess you were feeling left out with your "lousy" lights eh?

THat Spy for office use or the new Surefire T1A?

Seriously, it was great to finally meet some of you guys (and catch up with a few others). I'm glad the meet worked out.

Thanks to Nice-light for the awesome little "trinkets" and for bringing the whole Fenix line to check out. Some pretty nice lights there!

Thanks to all for braving the rain as we scared the neighbors with our crazy bright lights.

Next time we'll hope for clear weather!

 I could definitely use a SPY for navigating the house at night!

Though maybe something with a low frequency PWM for the bathroom runs? 😉

Hopefully we have better weather next time, but it was fun out in the rain last night anyways.

Thanks for getting the ball rolling for this, gunga!

Glad I was able to make it, only wish I could have stayed a little later to see some of the other lights in action.
:grin2:
