Vetta MicroLux

If you're getting 18hrs on high off 4 AA batteries and that is regulated (doubtful) and it will be using a LUX emitter it won't be very bright.

Have a look at a SCOLO for a cheap, bright good value bike light.

Am I correct in assuming that the SCOLA's are manufactured by a forum member? Or is he a middleman?

I've checked out the Dinottes many times. :) There are a couple I like. I also like the FENIX.

A handlebar mounted remote switch is a must for me, because the lights will be mounted on a bar extender underneath the handlebar bag. I'm a commute utilitarian rider (food shopping etc.). I don't bike in the woods. I run in the woods.
