Option 1: 3V-6Vmax.
- Suitable for Single 18650 or 2*CR123A

-Very bright and really throws for a P60

- Light Op be default. Smooth upon request

- Teflon wires only to prevent heat melt

- Single mode efficient current regulated 1.75A or 2.1A exactly at the tail cap. Choose current level when ordered.

- Great for use as is or with aspherical lens

Option 2: 4.5V max

Program Options
A: Last mode memory
B: No mode memory

1) Moonlight, Medium, High, Moonlight, Medium, High, 10Hz Strobe, 2HZ Blink, SOS, Beacon

3) High, Medium
4) High, 10hz Strobe
5) Medium, High, 2hz Blink
6) High, Medium, 2Hz Blink
7) Moonlight, Medium, High
8) High, Medium, Moonlight

  • Moonlight 3mA-5mA so its very dim
  • Medium = 35% power so it’s good for normal use
  • High = 100% the current power you choose
  • The driver Operates from 2.5-4.5V
  • Under 2.8V the output will automatically reduce to 35% and blink once a minute
  • 1x Li-ion or 3xNiHM only. 2*CR123 or 2*Li-ion = Poof= Dead Drive/LED
Please choose 1.9A or 2.22A version when ordered

Thermal Injection by default
: Although XREs generate less heat compared to XML I think it would help a bit anyway.

Re: vinhnguyen54 Cree EZ1000 XRE-R2 P60 Drop In 1.75A/2.1A Single Mode

Which version do you want? 1.75A or 2.1A?

Re: vinhnguyen54 Cree EZ1000 XRE-R2 P60 Drop In 1.75A/2.1A Single Mode

2.1a all the way now that I think about it..

And a quick question.. do these have a low volatge warning at all? Just curious as I'm just trying to figure out which battery I'll use. I typically run only IMRs, but may use and AW protected if there's no low voltage warning.

Thanks Wayne!

Re: vinhnguyen54 Cree EZ1000 XRE-R2 P60 Drop In 1.75A/2.1A Single Mode

Vin, one of theoptions for the units you were selling last year had a 3 – 13 volt input range.

Here are some options.
2) $38 EZ900 XRE-R2, Choice of SMOOTH or OP reflector, 1.8A Single Mode 3-13VMax
The units you are selling now are listed as
- 3V-6Vmax. Suitable for Single 18650 or 2*CR123A
- Single mode efficient current regulated 1.75A or 2.1A exactly at the tail cap

I have a couple of the ones you made last year and Ireally like them a lot and would like to get a couple more from you.
I noticed the specifications changed a bit.
Does this reduced input voltage range (new, 3-6 voltinstead of the older, 3-13 volt) on the new drop-ins increase battery efficiencyor lumen output?
Is the 2.1 amp version going to put out 20% more lumensthan the 1.75 amp version?
Is a 18650 battery going to have enough juice to run atthe higher 2.1 amp level?
Thanks.

Re: vinhnguyen54 Cree EZ1000 XRE-R2 P60 Drop In 1.75A/2.1A Single Mode

More efficient! Brighter! More acurate Current! Better Regulation! The 2.1A is only a bit brighter than the 1.75 to my eyes so if you want efficentcy definitely go for the 1.75 instead of the 2.1A. But for those who want every bit of lumen there is the 2.1A. Same price! 18650 has MORE THAN EHOUGH JUICE to provide the 2.1A.

As a matter of fact all of the drop ins I ever sold max output can be attain with single 18650. 🙂

Yup, that's me. PayPal sent. 🙂

POTTED PLEASE!
Unglued.
Smooth reflector.

Wayne,

Received all four drop ins today including these guys..

One word... OUTSTANDING!!!

These EZ1000 guys are insane as is, and even more insane in DBS V3.. woohoooo!!

Thanks,
D

EDIT: Got outside to play a bit more.. for anyone looking for the THE perfect DBS V3 pill, the 2.1a version of this does the trick. It's made the Dereelight a whole new player in my thrower collection. This is the combo you want with this pill!!!

One other note for others, I have both the SMO and OP reflectors for this die and the OP goes a long way towards making this beam really really nice... I mean reallllyyyy nice!!

The SMO definitely throws more and you can see the lux difference, but I think the OP makes the better beam and annnnnddd you're not losing all that much in the way of throw either.

I also have a few true EZ900 dies and have to say I like this one much more at the higher amp rating.

This one's a winner Wayne!

How do these compare to the Malkoff M60? Any fitment issues with a 6p?

Re: vinhnguyen54 Cree EZ1000 XRE-R2 P60 Drop In 1.75A/2.1A Single Mode

This one has better throw than your XM-L drop in?

Definitely better throw. I have about 5 of these EZ1000 left and I will only be selling them with OP. The OP provide a much better pleasing beam with negligible loss in throw.

I do not have a M60 so I have no idea. I once had a 6P and I remembered as long as I remove the large spring the drop in fit fine.

wayne I will buy 2 of these drop in's at 2.1A single mode - 3V to 6V Is that OK Mohan

Edit - PP sent for 2 pills.

Let me know when you get that pill for repair (XML 4.2a from DBS V3)

Malkoff M60 gets about 5,500Klux aka lux at 1m = pretty beam
The EZ1000 at 1.7 or 2.1A will net you 15,000Klux or more. = donut beam

The P60 EZ1000 at 2.1A or EZ900 at 2.1A absolute rock

single mode, 2.1A,OP reflector?

I love your dropins, so I'm sending Paypal as we speak for one of these.

And thanks for the single mode, it's perfect for LEO use.
