Anyone try one of these or similar?

I figure they are likely junk. I like the vintage look but want something that is going to work. I've been thinking about converting some old oil hurricane lanterns I have to LED. I just not sure what parts I need to do it. Anyone do anything along those lines before?

I have a pair of the Dietz #20 vintage lanterns. They look great. The light intensity is very poor. I would not take them on a outing where functionality was needed over form. They work for back deck ambience.

These or very similar lanterns (or similar) are currently being advertised on Australian TV for far greater than $13.95, I can't recall the exact price, if I see the add and remember I'll edit my post.
Agree they look like junk, and will leave the buyer disillusioned with LED tech :(
