Volere AA - A User's Evaluation

This Volere sample is a sterile version, no markings.

It's sent to me weeks before Sales started and it came late due to a postal error or this review would have been up much sooner. If I'm not wrong, only about 3 sterile Voleres existed and they need to be sent out earlier without laser engraving for reviewing purposes. I suggest you ask Steve again, he might have a spare lying around, like using it to stablise a table by putting it under one leg and he simply forgot about it.

Believe me, I begged him, but he was adamant.

now I'm curious, which light have you given a 5 skull & bones:poke:

:grin2:

I've not reviewed enough lights with this system yet
Off my mind, I would gladly give 5 skulls & bones to Surefire C2. Form, function, longevity, right price, reliability, flexibility... all plays a part. It deserves a "Get This Now" XXXXX.
There're also only 2 other lights I can think of, but it can be subjective and may even be controversial. For those who know me, they might know what they are. ;)

It was the black lettering (laser-engraving) that put me off ordering one. I tried to persuade Steve to send me one without it, but he declined.

Zeruel, is this absent in your light, or did you choose not to show it?

On my Volere #039 the engraving is not that noticeable ... seems to be more of a grey color which blends in nicely with the overall finish.

I,m really liking mine. The low could have been much lower.Products always have a name on them its a part of life. Look at Surefire etc I do not care for it too BUT oh well. I really need a D10 pocket clip for this light but can,t seem to find one.I like the AA/14500 format a lot. No special batteries needed.

Let us imagine... D10 guy

Excellent review! Plenty of very good detail, and superb photos - the pic showing the knurling is particularly good as an illustration of the quality of the light. Good job!

Moving to the Reviews section...

Nice review. I'm really liking my Volere AA. The levels seem fine to me, but I'll admit I don't use the low settings on my lights very much.

Hey Zeruel, a very comprehensive & balanced review :twothumbs

I am very happy with my Volere; it gets most use on High, so the lack of a low-low is only a minor inconvenience.

Any one considering a new "classic" in AA should really consider this light.
