Hi..

I´m thinking about buying a MG P-Rocket. Therefore I have a question, that also applies to many other flashlights/their specifications.

Is there any difference in output whether I use 2*CR123 or 1*18650??

The reason why I´m asking is, the flashlight is regulated to 2800 mAh, but doesn´t the voltage have anything to say?? 1*18650 = 3,7v. vs. 2*CR123 = 6 v. - Is it only the amps that dictate the power of the output??

Is there any advantages whether to use 1*18650 or 2* CR123?

I know that I have a lot to learn, so please excuse me if it´s a stupid question! lovecpf

This is old, but I'd still be interested in hearing the answer to this question...

I can not say anything about the MG-P light, but generally how voltage and current works together depends on the driver. Lights using a linear driver will use a constant current from the battery and with buck or boost drivers the current from he battery will change with voltage.
I you check some of my reviews you will find graphs that shows current, power and brightness depending on voltage.
