While many others like the UI of the more advance controllers, I prefer the simplicity of an analog log pot for dimming. The problem is that I need tiny 50K water proof log pot for my light system and I haven't found any that will work.

Any suggestions?

I too have searched for waterproof pots. My conclusion? They don't exist, at least not to the public. You can get water resistant slide pots, but not rotary. I found a link to a place that sells add-on rubber boots to make them water resistant...that's at home though. You'll have to wait until later today to get the link :p

Here is the link to the company.

Thanks for the link. Those look expensive and I couldn't use the knob I made.

After comparing the pros and cons of an analog dimmer to a digital dimmer, it is difficult now to overlook the benefits:
configurable UI
one click/press for low/high operation
buck operation for larger battery packs
one waterproof switch for operation
hard set current levels
max level limit
