WE 9AX Raider and HO-9 problem, won't fit!

Hi,

I'm must be dense, but I can't figure out how to make the HO9 fit the Raider. The spring at the bottom of the light assembly is too large for the battery tube. If I jam it down, the base of the reflector sits too high.

I've read plenty of people using this setup, what am I doing wrong? Should I take to large spring off?

Am I just lame?

The large spring is for use with Surefire bodies. Remove it you don`t need it with the Wolfeyes body.

How the heck do you remove it? It doesn't seem to want to come off with a good tug.

first, make sure it's the outer spring you are removing...

second, just twist and pull at the same time, if you twist it in the proper direction, it'll have an "unclasping" effect and come off easier.

Got it! Thanks a lot guys. Works great! Nice light, was collecting dust, now it's my new hot rod. Good change from led's.
