Ok, most flashaholics carry a backup light... granted.

If you can only have 1 primary EDC which you take everywhere for all purpose, which light is it?

If WW3 has broken out and this might be the last light I can ever get me hands on, then my answer will be very different (something with no circuit board and much more reliable such as a high-end Tek-Tite). However, if you are just asking me what my one favorite/most useful EDC light is, then here's the answer. The only time I EVER carry just one light, it's this one:

Flashlight: Fenix LOD R80 in natural finish (Q4 would be equally as good!)
Lumens: 60 max (3 levels +SOS and strobe) -It's hella bright for the size!
Lumens: 15/5/45
Height: 7.35cm or 2.9 in
Width: 1.4cm 0.6 in
Battery type: AAA
Number of battery cells: 1
No of Modes: 5 (3 preferred)
Method of carry: pocket/keychain
Spot or flood: Spot with very strong spill
UI (click? Twist?) : twist - Iprefer twist switches (smaller and more reliable and more battery efficient)
Cost: General Store Retail prices: $46 from Lighthound

I will say though, that the Fenix L1D Q5 is a VERY close second and might even be the first choice in winter because size is less of an issue.

The form factor doesn't really bother me. I like that I can switch out LED module if it breaks with the spare in my car. Modular is the way to go.

+1 though I can't exactly recall what I paid for mine.

And carried hanging from a chain around my neck.
