I was just taking some beamshots tonight with my 3 new Cree lights, using a MMag 3AA light as a comparison standard, and I realized how thankful I was to cpf. When I got the MMag 3AA I actually thought it was decently bright for a led...3 watt and all. So I thought I would state some things I am thankful for to those who's knowledge has allowed me to do more damage to the darkness.

1. Cree lights. I never heard of them before coming here. My techie friends still have never heard of them until I point them here.
2. Beamshots....The proof is in the pictures Please keep them coming.
3. AW...RCR123a's and 17500's ect. Never new they exhisted
4. Runtime graphs. Thanks to those who have taken the time and bought the equipment to provide them to the rest of us.

Also lastly, making me realize I am not the only nutcase who searches everywhere for the newest, greatest and coolest flashlight out there, even though I have allready bought so many. Thanks!

What are you most thankful for?

All the great reviews from Craig and Doug on their own sites and their input here. The tireless work and excellent pics of Viren and UnknownVT. Chevrofreaks runtime graphs. And, all the opinions and comparisons from everyone who takes the time to educate us about their lights. Thanks guys.

This is the only site I visit were member and brand bashing is rarely seen!

The diverse knowledge of people in each catagory of the forums and hanging out with folks that enjoy lights as much as I have my whole life.

Helpful and honest people, I have done alot of trades and never had one go south. :goodjob:. Also tons of great info.

Most unthankful for CPF in its ability to make my wallet empty:laughing::ohgeez:

+1

CPF is a great community of folks.

Thankful I have the opportunity to be a part of it.

If it weren't for you guys I would probably be stuck in the dark;)

It's great knowing that information about ANY flashlight is guaranteed to be found here or at flashlightreviews. April will mark my one year anniversary of finding both sites. It all started with a simple search for SL Stylus reviews.

I'm also thankful to the retailers that offer such awesome CPF discounts. They truly are the best when compared to those offered to members of other forums I frequent.

Having our lights run the way they should and safely requires more knowledge than meets the eye. When I first came here, I was in thedark. My special thanks go to SilverFox for his vast knowledge in everything concerning batteries needed to power the lights, of which I now have a piece, and to JS for all his insight in incandescent lights, and hotwires. I also enjoy Al´s vast knowledge on Surefires, and other people like CM in electronics.

All the great people who answer questions and try to point others in the right direction. The reveiws, beamshots, Tech info, & humor. When I need info, direction, or an opinion, I come here and know I will find what I am after.
Thank you CPF!!!

the overall knowledge of everything to bring me out of ignorance that the stock maglite was king of all handheld flashlights  even when i first got here i saw led lights talked about as being better than incan and i thought no way but i was thinking that all led's were those 3mm types and like the cheezy ones you see on ebay, until i saw luxeon ,cree , seoul etc types

Social support. lol j/k. well kinda.

This thread would have been a perfect Thanksgiving holiday thread. I am thankful for the amateur expert advice. I appreciate the honesty and generally unbiased opinions when it comes to experiences with lights. It's not like car/gun forums where everyone is trying to protect and boost their egos by defending the products that they buy, as if every purchase they made was always the best purchase.

Never having to worry about getting into the higher income tax bracket :D

That I'm not the only one who gets the rolling eyes from non-flashoholics, particularly female

. Seriously, I have trust in the members here and value their opinions. When the desire (always) is there for yet another flashlight, I trust the dealers and members on CPF. This is a great brotherhood. Cheers.

Along with they hybrid car folks at greenhybrid and the pistol aficionados at KTOG, this has to be one of the deepest pools of knowledge and savvy about technical issues I have ever found.

Although still in my infancy of education in this regard, I find CPF an excellent source of information on all things LIGHT.

Aside from vastly growing my knowledge about flashlight choices, I am VERY happy to have discovered the information that I have on rechargeable batteries and getting a GOOD charger. No longer do I think the pretty green-and-silver Energizer 2500s coupled with a RadioShack 1hr charger are an acceptable way to always have power at the ready for digital camera and lighting applications.

Also, thanks to those who share price drops, discounts and deals on here, and those folks that were kind enough to share their surplus RayOVac coups with all of us!!
