What batteries are in a phillips beard saver?

The question might seem odd. But I received this saver many years ago as a gift and the batteries are still like new. That despite being used every single day and even being subjected to a lot of almost total discharges. What batteries are they using in them?

could be aa's. my girlfriends leg hair trimmer had 2 aa nicads.

More than likely it has Nicad batteries, and those actually prefer to be fully discharged before recharging, so keep doing that and you'll probably get many more years of use.
