Exactly, it's "sticky back" Dacron tape to make small repairs on the sails.

These EDC thread never get old...Ok well this is my current group of EDC items when I wear my cargo pants (I have a few pairs and often wear these during the week...I just love the extra leg pockets) In my front right pocket I carry a benchmade Pika...front right leg pokcet I carry a Cold Steel land and sea Rescue knife, which I use for heavier cutting jobs (notice its about 90% serrated) in my front left pocket I carry my Fenix L1S and in my front left leg pocket I carry the space AA's...I have my Photon Freedom Micro clipped to a hat that I keep in the car in case I need a make shift headlamp...I also carry other lgiths and knives on ym keys...I often switch which knives I carry with my lights, but for the most part I like the Fenix L1S for my EDC light...Until I get a LOD CE that is, lol...

Here are some other knives that I switch out on rotation or depending on what I feel like carrying...Or what I am doing, like if I am goign to a nice place and get dressed up I will carry my Boker since it is slim and fits nicely in a pair of dress pants...If I am wearing a suit I will have my Delta-Z pen knife in my inside pocket, and so on...

By the way as you cna see the knives are from a variety of companies...my long term goal as a knife collector is to own a knife from many different companies..so right now I do not have many knives from one single company but rather 1 or 2 that I like best...the only knife I dont like or carry in the picture is the one of the bottom right which isma smith and wesson knife...I think it just stinks, lol, but I like the variety so it will stay in the collection until I trade it in the future...What you dont see is my balisongs (in case you dont know, a balisong is just another name for a butterfly knife)...thats a whole other addiction, lol...
