What did you use your flashlight for today?

Very happy, nothing to complain about. Solid light, easy to remove tri-cap, very bright, no stupid features to get hung up on, and made in USA

You can't see in the video, but even with their illegal much darker than 25% tint on front, easily lit up their faces

That was 92ft to the car from the light

Glad to hear. Malkoff is the way to go. That light will serve you well. If there’s any issue down the road, Gene will easily take care of it no questions asked

Yeah, after I ordered the Malkoff I found out about the Fenix HT30R and for a moment I did worry I'd ordered the wrong light. But, the Malkoff was cheaper with the 20% off, takes 18650's which I already have a ton of (I currently have no 21700's), Malkoff is made in the USA, no extra mumbo jumbo like USB-C and this chart of the Fenix which says it all really. I want high all the way!

I will probably pick up the Fenix at some point though

Shining away loitering DUI trash, happens often. Used my new Hound Dog Super

So, if I understand you correctly, you compelled a drunk to drive. That is a really bad idea. If their presence bothers you that much, just call the police and report a suspicious vehicle, and let them make the bust. You just endangered the public.

Great pics. I wonder if a thermal camera would've helped with the search.
It is funny you say that as I thought about FLIR when doing all this. I'm getting a unit next year for seeing where the heat is going in metal bodied lights and how quickly but I wouldn't have had it fast enough. I could have used NVGs but its like looking for things with a black and white tv only a green version.

Ya. Good way to get assaulted too

I agree with you 100%, however when it happens every other day and I'm the one picking up the trash in the road, I just want them gone.

Houston Police literally do not care. Non emergency line is usually 45-50 mins IF they pick up, at 60 mins it disconnects which happens more often than not. If you call 911, they transfer you over to the queue because its not an "emergency". Then, the police will not show. I've been through this plenty of times before, it will be about 8 hours to get an officer out, if they show. Of course by the time that happens, these people are gone.

The few lucky times I've called, got through and an officer has come out they just cruise by and close the call, too much work to actually do a traffic stop I guess

Someone down the road got busted for 3rd felony DWI after their truck got stuck on a sewer pipe (To be installed) and they got out on supervised release after violating his bond 3 times and still driving drunk. Still has his truck and drives by all the time

Open to any suggestions. If they sit there they will just get MORE drunks before leaving, so not really sure how I endangered the public. They sure weren't going to park and get an Uber home...

Went to bed in the wee hours this morning, after the Missus. So I was trying to do things in the dark. Ended up knocking the cordless phone and charging base off the night stand. This now called for a flashlight. Couldn't find the cheap ChiCom 3xAAA light that I use for night lighting, so reached out where I knew the Gladius was and grabbed it. Held the lens to my leg while I dimmed it down. Located the phone and base, replaced them on the night stand, then located the ChiCom 3xAAA light on the floor under the bed (of course!). Turned off the Gladius and locked it out, and put it back where it lives, then turned on the ChiCom 3xAAA light to finish getting ready for bed.

I could have used either the 4D ML300L or the 3C ML50LX at my feet, or I could have retrieved the ML Minimag Pro+ or the SF Fury DFT on my trouser belt, hanging on the foot-board post, but the two ChiCom lights were more "dim capable" so that is why I used them instead of the 'Merican lights. Hmmm, guess I need to break out some old incan Mags and retire the ChiCom lights. It breaks my heart that the Blackhawk! Gladius was made in the PRC! I sure do like the UI.

For as much as you use lights **** blocking tresspassers you would think you would get 1337 operator lights from Surefire, Cloud Def, Streamlight, and Elzetta with some kind of Malkoff as a backup light.
What makes you think I don't have several of those, already; from each of those brands? But for mundane lighting jobs around the home, I use cheaper beater lights running off of more common batteries. Anything happens to one of them, I don't care. In the trash it goes. Did its job, did it well for a good long while. Onto the next one.

Only lights I don't own are from Cloud Defense.... and NEVER will!
Scumbag owners who tried to blatantly cheat me out of my money the 2nd time I ordered from them. Culminating in them shipping me a literally empty box. And I, contacting my credit card provider to do a credit card charge-back after receiving said empty box. Quite frankly, if I had a full bladder and was in desperate need of emptying it, but stumbled across one of the owners of C.D. having been set on fire.... I wouldn't even urinate on him to put the fire out! I wish the owners of the company nothing but misery and hope they go completely bankrupt.

Toss that cheap 3xAAA Commie crap in the garbage where it belongs, and get you a Made in USA Photon Freedom micro light w/ the nose cone variation and red LED; if you want ultra low output.

Thanks for reminding me about this company--I had totally forgotten about the Photon. Looked up the retailer as well as LRI the manufacturer. Now on my RADAR, I plan to get some. Looks like good products.

Laughing Rabbit sent me a replacement (I did not ask) when I talked to them about a first generation that had a split in the case. It still worked.

The ReX (discontinued) and Proton were made in China however (if memory serves)

Other than the Cyan, I believe the others all have (nice color rendering) Yuji emitters (it was easy to replace)
