A MOSFET is just a 'metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor' and is actually pretty basic stuff. Although it sounds rather exotic, it's really just a type of transistor that acts a little like a tube, but doesn't get as hot. A MOBO fastener, however is a different kind of animal, and is actually rather technically complex. It's used to attach a very specialized type of MOFO that's found only in fairly advanced electronic equipment.
