One starts with S, and one starts with G.

But the answer to your question is (assuming my eyes are as accute today as they were when I was much younger and didn't need corrective lenses):

drum roll please...

A garage door at night?

Actually darell,

The "S" is right, but.....
The "G" is not!

Think again.....

Surefire M6 with 500 lumen bulb is Sample B.

Note that sample A is more focused that the SureFire (it meters substantially more lux in the middle that the SureFire.... like 30% more).

Not that it matters, distance to target door is 48 yards.

OK - I was going with darrell - I don't know - as the French say I give my tongue to the cat (I give up)...

Yes indeed, but this one has a very nasty little bottom (pepper spray version).

I'm trying to do the review now, but my 8-year old needs my attention

I know! It's the new plasma arc SMD on decoder ring flashlight they're selling at Target. Right??

You know, you guys are getting as bad as the news lead ons! ".......Something new found in your home tap water. It may be that you won't take that next drink of water....tune in at 3 in the morning for a pay per view special report..."

EDIT: Oops, looks like Jeff let the cat out of the bag while I was composing my clever whine....

That was funny Mcgizmo. I hate the news lead ons myself. "This household product can kill you instantly.....what is it?......tune in at 11:00 to find out."

OOOH I can't wait for the review of the Tigerlight!!!

I've been waiting for someone to review this light. With all this talk about high-powered rechargeable lights, it looks like the Tigerlight will be a promising light to go up against the Ultrastinger.

Is it the Tigerlight then? I thought the Tigerlight had a pretty ringy beam and it doesn't appear to be so by this picture.

Ok... before we get all off on a tangent here - is it a garage door? I can't speak for the rest of you, but I see NO flashlights in that picture.

Darell, those are GDL's - OmniPanelLuxic paint that recharges during daylight to illuminate your drive all night and really **** off the folks living opposite.

Now THAT's the kind of stuff I'd like to see reviewed!

So Jeff - I guess we'll just sit around trashing your thread here until you serve up the goods.

Darell,

I think its best not to mess with the trash outside Jeff's garage for the moment.

Jeff,

Whatever be that other flashlight - TiggerLight or no, please spill the beans before Darell here spills the trash outside your garage!

Cheers!

It is a Tiger Light, and it has no rings (at least the one I got). And it is brighter in the middle than a SureFire M6-500 according to my lux meter.

Will be comparing to 12pm w/ 3' Turbo head (acccording to PK, that's the farthest thow light that SF has ever offered.

I really like this light except for the odd placemehnt of the switch, and the cheapo plastic lens.

Wow! That is pretty impressive. You should have included it in the long range shoot out you did with the Goncz lights. I wonder how much run time you can get. I think Dano said it was something like 6 A Ni-Mh batteries arranged like the M6 but not in parallel? Let's assume it is 2000 mAh A cells. If it is drawing 4 amps to get around the 30 watts of the Surefire lamp (7.2 x 4 = 28.8) then I would assume it has less than 20 minutes at full brightness.
