Has anyone got one?

I love my PAL Gold. A little too chunky for the pants pocket but it has many other plusses.

I keep it on my nightstand. Always on feature allows me to find it right away. The low setting provides enough light for many tasks. I use low when I don't want to disturb my sleeping wife. We stand the PAL on end and shine it on low at the ceiling to act as a nightlight in hotels. On high the beam is impressive for a single LED flashlight. I reversed the lens (simply pry it out with a small flat blade screwdriver) to get a wider beam. Still concentrated but much more useable. I never have to buy batteries for this light. I just use the 9V's that come out of our smoke detectors annually. Despite being used batteries, they last a long time and they're "free."

The PAL's flexibility with two power levels and moderately small size makes it a winner in my book.

I have 6 of them. I really like them. They are a little bulky for jeans etc...however they are perfect for a purse, backpack etc.

I gave one to my mother in law last year. She was on a vacation and in one of those huge hotels and power went out and the emergency lighting did not work adequately. She was able to find it in her purse because of the always on feature, navigate back to her room, and have workable light till power was restored.

She does not go anywhere without it now. She originally thought it was a toy her crazy son in law gave her for her bithday.

I dislike 9 volt batteries as a rule but it does last quite some time on it.

Company is really nice to deal with. Rock solid guarantee and great people to boot.

I really like mine- Impressive performance, all things considered.

I wear mine on a cord around my neck when I'm jogging at night, People can see me coming, and if I need to see something, I just reach up and grab it.

Like everyone else said, wouldn't want it in a pants pocket, but in a jacket pocket or sweatshirt pocket you don't really notice it.

I bought 2 of them for Christmas presents. Of course I had to field test them. Was duely impressed. Where I thought it would be most useful was as a night light. Set it on the dresser pointing at the ceiling in the "always on" mode, makes it easy to find in the dark. I found for getting around inside the house, there was enough light without turning it on (more than the always on). I'll probably get one for myself. TX
PS
Don't get to wrapped up in the "brillant white light" discription. Remember it's a single LED, not H.I.D.

I leave them sitting on the top of the door frame to our closet and bathroom. It is bright enough to not bump in to anything while walking around at night. The battery life is amazing.

Hmmm. That may be the answer to my LimeLite-like LED nightlight question. Crap... I have to buy MORE lights?

Odd. Lots of folk here use them as a nightlight. So do I. Of course, once I leave the room, out comes the ARC-LE.
The first time I turned it on, out came a square beam. Square? I had never seen that in a torch. I got used to it.
darell, trade in your lime(nightlight) for indiglo. Way cool.

I want to trade my nightlights in, but not on anything else I plug in. I want something higher-tech. Like LEDs!

I'm using my PAL to light up the face of a battery powered clock that I use next to my bed. It saves that 3W a normal LED bedroom clock would consume.
