Just recently started biking a few times as night to run my sis's yellow lab. Too hot during the day to run dogs here in Houston, Texas.

Anywho, at Sam's Warehouse, came across Streamlights TTR 3c for HALF they price sold everywhere else! It is in camo desgin though :( But anywho, for about $52 + tax, I would have 2 rechargeable flashlights that I would mount onto a bike.

Question, do you think the TTR 3C be bright enough? I was thinking of going with Fenix L2D CE X 2, but that would be close to $100. The TTR 3C is rated at 95 lumens, with run time of 50 minutes on a xenon bulb.

I do not have the streamlight but it seems inferior to the L2D and not as advanced. I'd say go for the Fenix, either standard version on sale now at fenix-store or the Q5. You can't go wrong with a L2D.
Just my $0.02

with P7 lights out now, and MC-E's to come, halogens won't last till next year.

Got that right!
I'm waiting with baited breath for P7 optics. As soon as an elliptical lens like the Fraen 15X30 becomes available I'll be building headlights for my motorcycle. :grin2:

A single L2D Q5 will provide a little better runtime and the same amount of light as two of the TTR 3c .

Runtime is not that much of an issue, b/c the SL are rechargeable, lasting 50 mintues. I won't be out that long.

I know there are better lights out there, but I am looking at the economic$$ of it. I can get 2 SL for the price of 1 Fenix. SL has a great reputation, so that is not a bad deal at all (every where else I have seen, they sell just ONE light for $56!!!). But not sure of the, for lack of a better word, logistics of using those to mount onto a bike.

My concern is, if anyone knows, do they light up enough to see a good distance at night & to be seen?
