What happened to the ARC AAA le?

Well, the "LE" in "Arc AAA LE" stands for Limited Edition, so it shouldn't be a surprise that they only made a limited number of them. I spoke to Arc about a month ago when I went to order my AAA and was told that they can no longer get the S-rank Nichia White LEDs. The only light they could offer me was the regular AAA.

Brightnorm. I hate to see you suffering like this. I can probably part with one of mine if you're in serious need. I tried to email you, but you're hiding...

Yes, the LE stands for Limited Edition. The last batch was made in January, 2002. I still have about 30.

Steve,

I just emailed you about this. Thanks.

Darell,

Thanks for that kind offer, but since Steve has a bunch I'll get them from him.
And please excuse my privacy obsession!

Not a problem. You need to make yourself a freebie hotmail or yahoo account though. At least open up the PM so we can talk to you when we need you. No loss in privacy with those options...

I just went to Brightguy and then the Arc website to order an AAA Le for a friend, and only saw the "regular" AAA.

Has the Le no longer in production? I haven't kept up with recent developments and this was a real shocker. It's possible I somehow missed it, but I'm quite sure it wasn't at either website.

I'd be grateful if anyone has any info on this.
