What is a good pistol to put a flashlight on?

lots of good choices for a light bearer, springfield XD comes to mind, S&W M&P, various nice Rugers, CZ75, even the S&W Thunder Ranch tactical revolver. Plus MANY others.

There's plenty of choices here. Just about any gun with a rail on the dust cover will take a gun light. My preferences are for Sigs, I own 4 and they have never failed on me. HKs, Smith & Wesson M&P, Springfield Armory XD, CZs and railed 1911s are also good choices. But the best choice is the one that feels right in your hand then practice with it and find out what ammo it likes.

As far as a dedicated gun light, Surefires are always a good bet. But for the most bang for the buck, Streamlight's TLR-1 is pretty good for around $100. Good luck.

I believe Glock's light rail is standard so any of the top brands should snap right on. I have an Insight incan that takes two CR123's and it fits on my XD 45 and my Glocks. I needed an adapter to make it fit my HK USPC.

It's kind of odd to choose the light before the gun! The gun choice is FAR more important! Get that narrowed down first. Just make sure it's one of the many with an accessory rail. Also, there are many stores selling the rail lights too, as well as Surefire, who is introducing a new one in the 09 catalog.

I purchased my Insight from (IIRC) Botachtactical.com. I purchased it long before I became a flashaholic or I may have chosen something else but the light works fine.
