What is the best looking and best performing neck wear light?

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahuh!!

Fortunately I can still type, but please be quick; I can't hold my breath long!

Let's have another Drake picture Fisk!

Here's one more from the bird's beak!

very nice Kaichu.

sadly mine has left for Modamag-ville for repairs 🙁.

Soon, very soon. You could even hold your breath if you wanted....

Carrot! Talk to us! I...can't...hold...it...much...longer!

Also (just to keep on task here), I want to make sure folks reading this have seen Rob's (Lummi) adjustable output Wee coming up... which uses some crazy quantum mechanical dimmer switch! This will make it as cool (or cooler!) than the Drake! Check it: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=252030

The JetBeam Element is pretty trendy, Xtar wk30 is quite nice too, but the build quality still ain't perfect on that one.

i am not a physiocyst or some such but am an ex-soldier

one thing i know is that quantum stuff may be unpredictable. how can he predict the behavior under stress? answer: no way, say Heisenbergs.

plus i bet that wee with the quatum stuff is not water proof so no-go as a necklight

i personally wear a SUREFIRE TIA TITAN around my neck and would trust nothing less

it is one helluva light

hear me!

Hey Phos4, I think the whole "quantum tunneling" thing makes it sound more exotic than it actually is... In reading about it, it sounds like just a cool variable resistor in actual use, so it is probably going to be pretty reliable from what I gather and given the types of application it is being use for.

It's a great point about the water resistance. I wonder if Rob has any ideas on that yet.

Could you post some pics of your Titan?

I can verify that the Titan is not the best light to be immersed in water for any length of time. One of mine went back to Surefire twice for leakage related problems.

The Wee should fare a lot better in water, at least as well as my Draco's have. Other lights I had no problems with have been the Ra Clicky, Quark MiNi AA, Arc-P among others.

I would expect so, and the main reason for my lack of interest in the Wee to date is now being rectified in spades!

My Draco AlTiN wears around the neck very well and is all I could ask for.

I too carry a T1a Titan on a neck Lanyard.
The only time i dont wear it is if i am going in water (swimming or shower)
It is quite a big light, but i dont mind, it has enough output and runtime to be my primary light, if i cant carry my normal edc with me

i plan on getting Dafabricata to do his warm tint mod to it, but i dont know if i can be without it while its away.

i might have to buy a spare :twothumbs

here it is, with some of my work tools (1dmk2n and 16-35 f2.8)

Nice pic! Looks like you've done this before!

with a 1d and a 16-35 to use as a backdrop for the photo, yea 🙂
pic was taken with one of my other 1dmk2n (i have 3) and a 50mm f2.5 macro.
I am a staff photographer for a newspaper - and shoot weddings on the side.

The T1A hanging on a neck lanyard is perfect for checking camera settings, and coming on in low first is great in a dark theatre, or dark pit/mixing desk at a concert.

The thing I like best about the Titans is their unrivaled low, but hopefully the new Wee will offer much the same utilitarianism.

I still think the Titans are great as a neck carry, especially with their central hanging point and might have still been carrying mine if it wasn't for the desire to wear a light of more minimalist proportions.

There should be a high CRI T1A waiting for me when I get to town this week and I'll try to post up some of my opinons comparing it with my stock Titan. Although I much prefer the smaller dimensions of the CR2 Titan and have come to love the moonlight appearance of the stock emitter, my experience with the high CRI so far has me fully expecting to like it even more!

Photon Fanatic's La Petite Killer!

I wear mine all the time now, and love it. While they are no longer in production, you could look on e-Bay, and maybe find one.

This light is on of the best ever made. Small, titanium, bright, hard protective coating.

I love them!

This is really the neck light to have.

Hmmm.... I would think your avatar would be THE neck light to have. Hmmm.... 🙄

One more important light noted by Flashlight Aficionado (Thanks, Patrick!)
NeckLIte_front_angle_light_key.jpg

Which can be found here.

This one looks a lot like Sabrewolf's mini Taglight (see above) but does appear thinner. Very cool light!
