Those are Sanyo MQN06........I think they are the same. I'll sell you one for $10 shipped :D. They're OK but not my favorite. Costco packages that charger with 8AA batteries and 2AAA batteries on sale for $19.99 every now and then.

I'd go for the LaCrosse BC-700 ($29.19) which has a display and can charge individual cells vs pairs in the MQN06 plus a bunch of other features. I paid $37 for mine a couple of years ago. Prices are really good on Amazon right now.

I got my kids (all married now) a Costco combo pack to get them into Eneloops and since the LaCrosse has gotten down under $30, I've picked up 5 of them for Christmas to replace the MQN06.

Let me just say though that the MQN06 works find. It's just that its no where as versatile as the BC-700 or other more expensive chargers with displays plus the charge current isn't very high so takes awhile.

Hmmm, they both appear to be the same model to me although I didn't read the information very thoroughly.

I can tell you that both are unsuitable. They can only charge batteries in pairs so unless you only use eneloops in devices that use a pair the 2 cells placed in the charger will not be balanced, resulting in 1 cell overcharged or undercharged.

The charge current is also unusually low, could potentially lead to missed terminations (not that it won't wreck your batteries anyway) and charging will take a long time.

A couple of years ago Sanyo did make a decent charger however that model is now discontinued.

I recommend researching the Maha MH-C9000, lacrosse BC-700 and the new Lacrosse BC-1000. These are some of the most popular models. Use the search bar at the top left to search for previous threads (of which there are many) regarding the best battery chargers.

If you're not going to go with a Maha, LaCrosse or AQ-328 type smart charger and you want something decent enough, this is the nicer of the Sanyo Eneloop type chargers:

I'll go with LaCrosse, but not until I get some funds in my account. If I make the payment for it than my card will be denied for insufficient funds. It's the type of Overdraft Protection I have so I have to wait until I get money.

I second the La Crosse recommendation... I got one and haven't looked back the charger that came with my Eneloop batteries just sits in the closet unused now. You can get it from Amazon here: http://amzn.com/B000RSOV50
