What is the latest, or upcoming LED that will be used in 123 lights?

I love the form of a Quark mini 123, both the warm and high lumens version.
Is there an obvious succesor the CREE XM-L T6?
How new is that bulb?

Cree XM-L is the lastest and greatest. They have released the U2 bin which is 300 to 320 lumens at 700ma.
T6 has 280 to 300 lumens at 700ma.

Fine to have a XM-L in a flashlight, but it the quark 123 reflector is actually on the small side. The XP-G may be less efficient, but the smaller die means a better thrower, which is usefull. But ofcourse, it all depends on the use of the light.

XM-L isn't a direct replacement for the XP-G, it is very different. So don't expect the XP-G to be made redundant very soon 🙂.
