what is the life span of HID bulb for microfire 3500 ?

Is there a vast difference between HID bulb from one brand to another?

Does the bulb last 1000 hrs?

One vendor lists "about 3000 hr" life span. ?? I don't have any experience with this light so I can not verify it but others here at CPF do!

Anyone?

Most HID bulbs, if driven correctly within their specs, should last a minimum of 1500 - 2500 hours.

A high quality bulbs will last even longer than the stated hours when slightly under driven as the Microfire is. The only thing is that I doubt the bulb in the Microfire is on par with Osram, GE, or Phillips. It's very safe to say that it would last according to the hours BVH listed if it doesn't ever suffer from a defect.

Use mine (5) days a week for the last (2) years. Never one issue.
