Don’t laugh, but I like this lighter so much I bought one to give to a friend. The decoration is an optional extra [emoji16]

Great choice Ven! I see you have the butane insert as well. I’ve done the same with mine and it’s much more practical!

Got a bunch of different lighters, mostly for different purposes:

1. EDC: Bic ... cheap, reliable, totally functional (as noted, if you run out of butane, you can still use the flint and steel to make sparks to start a fire).

2. Special occasions: Marine Corps Birthday, Veterans Day, etc., an old Zippo that I had engraved in a ville in Vietnam ~1968.

3. Cigar lighting: a titanium no-name lighter, made in China, with a butane insert for my once every week or two cigar.

Those three are my favorites, but I can made room for more if the ‘magic’ is there.

Why did Ronson refuse to return your lighter?

Bill

Sorry I didn’t keep up with this. Just saw your reply. They wanted to keep it for posterity with no compensation except for a new lighter. I had to show up in person to get it back but I got a few freebies as compensation
