what resistor for a 5 watt?

I want to drive a W5SC (S is the voltage bin, C is the color cyan) Lux 5 at around 1-1.1 amps. What resistor do I need If im using 3 123 cells, or about 9.3 volts?

3 123a's sounds like a space needle. S Vf is very low however. I'd try 4ohms/3ohms/2/etc and check it at first until you get to where you need to be. Also the cells will sag a bit I'm sure/etc.
