only a slightly different topic than some others, i know...but maybe i can work out my dilema...

i currently have a leatherman super-tool but considering it's size and weight i only carry it on me when i think i may need it (usually work)...i'm looking for a good keychain tool...something not too big but with enough good features...

mostly used for tinkering around the house and for a backup always-on-me while camping/hiking/traveling...

i've looked and read on victorinox's sight, but i cannot decide on the one that's right for me...i want a nice blade, philips and flat screw-drivers for sure, after that i'm unsure what i would want/need...

i really like the manager II, i really dig on the pop-up pen thing, much better and less likely to get lost than the old pen style, and it's pretty small...but the super-tinker seems to have a better range of tools, more stuff that i would use camping and hiking and just out at a friends drinking micro-brews...

i think the ultimate for me would be the super-tinker with a pop-up ball point pen, even at the cost of the toothpick and the tweezers (well...the toothpick at least =))...

also been lookng at the leatherman micra...i really like the fold-out scissors, they seem much more durable than the SAK's version...but does it loosen up and fold out when you don't want it?...could be annoying...and how is the blade and the tweezers?...

so...help me out =)...

I used to carry larger multitools, but found I stopped carrying them due to size and weight. I just got a Juice and find I carry it a lot more often. I know it doesn't have all the things I like, but I can do most everything I need to with it, so it is a lot better then nothing.

For me it's a Victorinox Deluxe Climber, which has apparently now been discontinued. It was essentially the Deluxe Tinker with a corkscrew instead of a philips screwdriver. (I've found it's easier to borrow a screwdriver than a corkscrew in an emergency, and the flat blade on the can opener will work on most #1,2, or 3 philips screws anyway). The small pliers are actually useful, it has two real knife blades, and it is much more pocket-friendly than my Wave or Gerber tools.

In this world of Multi-tools and one-hand "tactical" folders, I still think the SAK is the best choice for daily carry for most people who live and work in a modern urban environment.

For me, it's the Broker. That $25.00 knife is as elegant, and more useful, than my pearl William Henry. The scissors gets more use than the blade.

The WAVE goes everywhere in my briefcase, but the Broker does more work.

A couple small tools that I find usefull:

Tool Logic Small Wonder - has pen and Flashlight...... no scissor though:

Swiss Tech tool - great tool:

My favorites are the Climber and the Classic.

Papasan - you might look for a discontinued model called the Yeoman. If I can recall, it has a large blade, combo tool (can and bottle opener and screwdriver), magnifying glass, phillips, corkscrew, t & t, pull out pen, straight pin and hook and scissors. It is a 3.5" model though.
