I've had a couple of torches for a while now and they are my first with replaceable lithium batteries. (I've been using NiCd and NiMH for decades.) I've also had a Velleman hobby charger for several years that I use to charge/test NiMH and small lead acid batteries. I want to use the hobby charger to test the flashlight batteries (and maybe generally charge them rather than using the USB plug on the flashlight). Trouble is, given my inexperience with the more modern secondary cells, I am insecure in identifying what these flashlights were shipped with. Google searches surprised me in not finding any info easily. Maybe Farpoint just wraps (generic blue) batteries that they source from various manufacturers.
One takes a single cell that is labeled: FARPOINT GT18650-2200 mAH 3.7V 8.14WH
The other is obviously a 4-cell (series-parallel) pack: FARPOINT ICR 18650 3000 mAH 7.4 17.76Wh
Thanks
P.S. Upon closer inspection, it looks like there is a battery management board in the 4-cell pack and there are only two wires leading into the lamp end of the flashlight where the USB-B charging port and USB-A power output are.
