What was the last LED light you purchased and why?

Ordered a Sofirn SC13 519A 5000K again. I've come to the conclusion that I want to have a smaller backup light, and 14500 is not quite it. So I'll try 18350.

Hopefully I'll actually receive it this time...

Last light I bought was the 4 D cell XML2 Mag. Put nice glass lens in it. As for "why a Mag" the answer is simple. RUN TIME. The light will go for a darn week or more before the batteries are drained. Oh...yeah that and the beam profile out of the new XML2 Mags is nothing short of incredible. They throw like Tom Brady to boot.

Previously last purchased lights include (in one order):
- Sofirn SP40
- Sofirn HS41 (bought for a friend)
- Sofirn BLF LT1
- Wurkkos FC11C
- 2x Acebeam PokeLit 2AA (one as a gift, and one bought for a friend)

But my latest light is this one:
Acebeam E75, in white, with an optional red wand.
My long awaited upgrade / sidegrade(?) from my previous 26650 Acebeam EC50 Gen. II.

It's the one light I was initially recommended here ( ❤️ ) when I first switched to 21700 cells as a replacement to the EC50. I was specifically recommended the Nichia 519A, 5000K version...which is the one I bought now.

Looking forward to unboxing it, as it's going straight under the christmas tree. :)

Spent $4 yesterday on an 80 lumen three brightness level li-ion rechargeable 12 volt charging (cigarette lighter adapter) COB l.e.d. light from Harbor Freight. That will be my new cheap leave in the car light. My good lights I don't leave in the car with wild temperature swings and time to neglect them. This light can stay plugged in ready to go when needed and never have to be brought in the house to charge. If it breaks, gets lost, or the heat or cold destroys it, I can just spend $4 more for a new rechargeable light.

Have a couple Amutorch lights, an XT45 and a XT60.
(the XT60 just may be the best light in the last couple years you haven't heard of)

So using a 35% coupon, picked up an XT45 w/ a SBT90.2 emitter for $51
Knowing how hard Amutorch pushes their lights, I do actually believe the lumens listed.

steal on a light that uses a 21700 and rocks the SBT90.2

Doesn't look like much, but it's all about the reflector and how hard it's driven

I bought this Nitecore EDC23 because I wanted to try this new flat profile design. I used this light during my November work rotation, and I like it a lot. I decide to purchase the larger EDC29 as well. My one complaint is that it does not have a low moonlight type setting. I might experiment with some type of silicon cover to make a better low light mode. I use moonlight modes frequently as I spend 17 nights a month in hotels around the world...

Because I like tailswitches, the curvy form factor, and Anduril UI, I went ahead and ordered a Red w Snowflakes TS10SG:

The Wurkkos site has the best price atm. Shipping is free, and there is a small additional discount available w coupon WKZHCODE5.

I plan to test a 4000K XPP LED swap, in order to gain High CRI.

My last TS10SG I swapped to sw45k. I expect the XPP will have more throw.

Here are photos of the modding process. There are also beamshots in that album.

Whoops. A brass Convoy S2+ (with a Nichia 519 2700K LED) found its way into my online shopping cart.

No idea how it got there.. it just started yelling "Buy me,buy me.." $32 shipped including a Vapcell 18650 4000 mAh battery.

Last week I bought on Aliexpress an orange Acebeam Pokelit AA with 5000K 90 CRI emitter and battery for € 14.98. Shipping and taxes included. Did I need yet another light: no! Did I want it: for that kind of money, hell YEAH.
Only drawback: it has bare threads, so you can't mechanically unlock it. And because it has a protruding forward clicky switch, you must be careful where you stash it.

3 more lights are on the way.Acebeam Tac AA, Acebeam Rider RX,and Skilhunt H200.

All 3 are Nichia LEDs.(3000K LED for the Skilhunt, and 5000K LEDs for the 2 Acebeams.)

The Skilhunt is arriving today (Dec.4th,2024),and the 2 Acebeams are arriving tomorrow (Dec.5th,2024).

Update: only the Rider RX is here. The Tac AA finally showed up on Dec.10th.

Sofirn SC21 Pro, because I like that it has Anduril, with an illuminated button, and is an easy light to mod:
