What watch you're wearing?

Caught the Kanji on the change over.
Happy New Year all.
Yeah that's right, I'm such a party animal that I'm taking photos of the day changing on my watch on NYE.

It depends on the wheel. Some have Kanji before English, others have English before Kanji. Mine is set up like the latter, so on its way to Wednesday it has to pass Tuesday in Kanji.
I’m not sure if all the new ones have Kanji (SRPE93K), this one has a date of June 2024 according to the serial number.

I have several in rotation but one favorite is the Venture GMT Master from the Venture Bros cartoon. It was my first mod and based on a Pepsi mod oyster bracelet. I had some logo decals made for the blue dial I was able to source. I used a MOPA laser to do the case back engraving. View attachment 72376View attachment 72374View attachment 72377
This is amazing, great job!

I modded and regulated this today, waiting on some parts to do a Typhoon build.

The bracelets my daughter made me, and I being the dutiful father will wear them at least through the holidays. One has a slogan close to our heart...

Considering it’s almost 50 years old and probably never been serviced, I’d say it’s excellent.

Today is the Crepas Batiscafo.
Crepas has a neat business model. They take inspiration from a historical, but maybe lesser known dive watch and update it to modern materials and tech. Their goal is a working diver w/ style befitting a collector. The model they come up with is all they make for a year, and they only make it for a year. The Batty has the Ronda R150 automatic movement inside, which I'm pretty happy with. Also 1200m rated for 12mm thick is pretty impressive.

This one is based on the Titus Calypsomatic (Ref 7840), a watch from the '60s I've long lusted after, but so far have fell short finding a well kept copy in a price range I would be comfortable wearing.

That Crepas Batiscafo has a great design. I love that the differentiation between the hands makes reading the time so quick and easy. And the lume color on the markers and hands is awesome. Great looking watch design!
