What would you do if you were banned for a week.

Considering I administrate another website and am refered to as Wadolf because people view me as some kind of ban nazi (although I let our volunteer moderators do the bulk of the banning, but I'm the one who comes along and terminates user accounts when needed, etc), I would probably laugh at the irony of myself being banned, but hopefully that never happens. I'd probably also feel embarassed and spend the week feeling like a dunce and may not post much for awhile after my ban was lifted. :)

Given the current economic climate and the company I seem to keep here I'd probably be quite thankful and send Greta a bunch of flowers:p.

I wasn't trying to challenge any rules, and i think the mods are doing a fine job.

Initially It seemed offensive, but after all these successive posts it finally clicked...

you wanted opinions from CPF members for recreation/activities in the event that you weren't able to access CPF :)

Besides sitting down and having a good look at whatever my personal problem was that caused me to be banned, I guess I'd spend time at the MarketPlace. Other than that I'd ride my mountain bikes or fly rc planes at the park since the weather is finally cooling off a little.

I would spend more time in the marketplace, too.
I mostly just read on this forum anyways, though, I don't post as often.

I'd find entertainment reading two users go at it in political threads at SPCR's OT forum. It's not as fun when I know I could be using my time to read other forums (even now, I'm getting to XKCD too late to chime in on anything, though).

Well, whatEVER the reason was . . . .

-- an offense of my own doing

-- a "website down for maintenance" incident

-- a natural or man-made disaster

-- computer difficulties on my part

Perhaps do some beamshots,
and run-time tests.

So that i'd have something useful to contribute,
when i could finally return here.

Heck,

i suppose i might even go someplace Dark,

and actually USE one of my flashlights.

I'd send Greta a pair of Minolo Blahniks, and politely ask her to lift my ban early. :grin2:

One always has the ability to continue reading and following along with the posts. If one finds themselves unable to do so, they need to remove the active cookie, and view it as a guest.

I wish I realised that..... I kept logging onto CPF and then it was like "haha, banned until xxxxx" (and yes, the ban was certainly deserved )

I just spent more time on other forums, did a bit of bike maintenance, some work (!!), socialised in the evenings (hehe).

Going with no CPF for a week made me realise what a resource it is; runtime graphs, discussions, etc. If it ever went down properly, the knowledge that would be lost is a bit scary. This is a top forum, and very well moderated IMO. Keep it up :)

If I did end up getting banned (which I won't :p) I'd just go to one of my other forum websites, or just take a break from the computer ;)
