What\'s everyone itching to purchase.....

Figured it might be interesting to see what's on everyones shopping list for the near future.

Here's mine:

Ultrastinger
Tec40
Vor tec headlamp (pending how I like the tec40)
UK SL6
New style Inova X5

Some of the prototype surefires look very appealing however surefire has a habbit of tempting us with big drool factor products that either don't show up, or take much longer than they say. So I'm leaving those off the list. Worry about them when they actually hit the market. Wouldn't surprize me if no one sees an aviator till 2003, and don't even get me started on the X81 bulb and low output E2 bulb.

I thought I have read that the X81 is definitely not going to happen but the LOLA E2 assembly is quite close to production.

I may be tempted by the CMG reactor for the curious factor but for the most part like other's, I'm basically sticking with the goal of only buying regulated flashlights from now on.

A buddy of mine was telling me about a Norwegian company that makes lights that are mounted on Jet planes. They convert them to a kind of hand held lamp - requires both hands and arms of course. I will be looking into that - and scratching and itching.

The NEW Inova X5. I understand that it should be available "in about two weeks..." Unless, of course, the feds suck up the first few production runs. Just imagine: a compact aand waterproof light that can be operated one handed!

In the near future, I hope one of our talented modders produces a 5W LS, compact tactical light in sufficient numbers that we can all have one. Am I dreamin'?

I'd get an x990 today, but I must have it with the 2 degree beam angle...perhaps the x991?

A new comput...um... an X990 of course!
Not that I could actually afford one, but I can always dream about motoring around Capitol Hill and setting things on fire with it. Might make an interesting entry in my dream journal.
