I saw it on DX and can't figure out if I like it or not. It looks like something that fell out of Apollo's golden chariot. Can't find any reviews or mentions of it, and I'm vacillating on whether I should spring for one or not. The finish looks like spray paint!

Has anyone seen one of these, or ordered one?

It's the worlds first solid gold light with a gitd tailcap! That's class.

Gold anodized aluminum really isn't bad in person but it's not exactly photogenic. However I think the green GITD tailcap would have to go. It does look like the machining on that unit does not exactly scream 'quality' though either so the gold just doesn't really fit and just looks like a failed attempt to add a quality look. It would be a unique unit to own though - I looked at it but wasn't quite thrilled enough to add it to my want list.

Oh my lord...

on the bright side, the head looks well-finned for heatsinking, LOL.

Ummmmm, Errrrrrrr, Uhhhhhh.......................no. Hell no

I would be far too embarassed to EVER use that light (in public OR private)

I have to vote "no" on this one. But, to each his own. if you like it, then get it. Maybe it'll have a beam like sunlight (doubtful, but anything is possible from a golden light). Is this the "Golden Dragon Plus" everyone is talking about? haha
:D

I kind of like the gold color just for the fact that it's not that same old black or gray. But those pointy looking spikes all around the head are keeping me from trying it out.

I just noticed it's already backordered. They sold out fast.

Egads! :eek:oo:

Is this thing in any way related to that cereal Indiana Jones torch?

I would like the golden one, but I am probably not going to get it.
Reasons are: I do not believe in the reliability of cheap lights and they are not that cheap after customs.
