It's amazing to see threads evolve over the years all over the internet about high priced items. Are they just art? Are they users? Do you buy it to use, buy it as an investment? Is it worth it? Is a $400 Glock as a good as a $2000 Springfield Professional? Sometimes it's not worth the bandwidth.
Personally, I try to get good value, but at least a minimum of fit, form, function along with the value. I wouldn't buy it if I couldn't afford to lose it. I freaked out the other day because I thought I lost my $80 Novatac. My upper limit it around $200 for a piece of EDC gear that I would actually carry and use just because if it's lost, I wouldn't freak out too badly. And I wouldn't hesitate to use it hard and carry it everyday.
