What's the most efficient diffuser or diffuser material?

Looking for one that fits my Olight S65 1.5" Head. I like the stock one but want to know if I can do better.

You will lose light with a diffuser, yes. As for a more efficient diffuser, no idea, sorry.

Re: Do diffusers cause light loss?

Every diffuser causes a light loss, as every lens does. Some test data for non-OEM diffuser materials, provided by selfbuilt:

Re: Do diffusers cause light loss?

It is unavoidable, try to shine light at diffuser, there will be some light to be reflected
Some would be absorbed by the material

Re: Do diffusers cause light loss?

Do you guys know what the most efficient diffuser material/diffuser I can get that fits the 1.5" head of a S65 may be?

Re: Do diffusers cause light loss?

I know this is an old thread, but wanted to clarify something...If you want less light loss (whatever single digit percent) you could always just swap the stock lens with the diffuser glass that is on the diffuser cap. It fits snugly.
