I just got my UltraFire WF-501B off of Amazon and while I can see its bright I don't see it being the 900 lumens advertised in the listing. Compared to my Fenix PD32 it's a tad brighter but not much.

Anyone know what the real output of this light is? Mine is the 3 click Low>Strobe>High model.

If it uses a well driven XM-L T6 (@ 3A) then you could get up to 600 lumen out the front. Realistically, it's probably 400-500 lumen. Remember, it takes something like 4x the lumen for one light to seem 2x brighter.

Im looking at getting a 600 Lumen Streamlight here soon so I will have to compare them to see how much difference there is.

You can also use Math to calculate, especially if you can take the reflector off and run the LED. Put a bare, 60W incandescent lamp on a table right up against a blank wall, and put a book standing up-right against the wall to make a little wall, at about the same height as the bulb. Note the sharp shadow. Move the non-reflectored light until that sharp shadow is a change in color, not brightness. Measure this distance and calculate lux at the wall (Known bulb output and distance, known light distance and unknown output) and you can get the approximate lumens. But yeah, 400-ish is a decent ballpark guess, having never seen the light.

What battery do you use in your UF WF-501B? I have the same light and am about to switch out the UF 18650 for Tenergy cells.

Using 2 Duracell CR123's right now. Ordered one of the rechargeable 18650's to test but I have not received it yet.
