whats this nexstar thing

you rave about it in the minimag but whats so good about it . i need a lowdown

The nextstar lamps in the MiniMag 2 AA and 2 AAA lights makes them about 30% brighter, but you also loose about 40% runtime. The only way I can use the 2 AA mini mag is to use 2 lightium AA's and the nextstar lamp. But thats just me, Actually now that I have the E2, I can use the mini mags.

Hey Brock; Can you use 1700 Milliamp Nimh rechargeables in a minimag or is that too much? thanks

I don't know for sure, I would imagine you could, but it would be dimmer then alkaline or a bunch dimmer then lithium. I will try it in my good old minimag when I get home and see how they compare.
