I don't want to make anyone here mad at me, but why would I buy from "The Fenix Store " when I can buy the same light for approx. $20 less.
If there is a legitimate reason please tell me. If it is because you just like the store and want to give them business that is not a good reason to me. If they have excellent customer service and a very liberal and easy return policy then I might be convinced.
Or maybe I am not getting something you folks can clear up for me : on Amazon the L2D CE is $52. At The Fenix Store it sells for about $70. Am I missing something.
Please set me straight.
Thanks.

A regular L2D-CE at fenix store is $56.50

They also have an 8% off coupon (CPF8) for cpf members and free shipping.

Maybe you were looking at one of their upgraded ones. Check the LED or emitter it is using.

Edit: however I have an issue with them right now so I'm waiting to see how that is resolved. I don't order from them exclusively and I like some of their competition. Amazon is OK for somethings too, but they are not always great. If you go for their free shipping they can take a week or more just to get it in the mail. I'm 50% on my Amazon dealings.

Where did u see that $70 tag?
Fenix-Store is selling it at $56.50, and that's with textured reflector.

Ok, thanks Standard. You cleared that up. I will probably go with The Fenix Store.
Should I spend the extra cash and get the upgraded one?
Thanks for the quick response!

From personal experience, David at the Fenix-Store and his staff are some of the most knowledgeable, helpful and reputable people you will ever deal with, and they have the best return policy you will find. Also I have found them to be extremely competitve price wise as well.

Sorry I don't know where I got $70 from. I think I was confusing it with the P3D or something. Disregard. I will probably go with the Fenix store.
You guys are great with your quick responses.
Thanks for setting me straight.

One of their Hottest Upgrades right now is with the new Premium RB100, which uses a new LED called the Rebel.

You can search cpf for some reviews. At this point in my light purchases I would be tempted to go for it, but it's more of a nice to have than critical. Check the reviews though, I'm sure you would be very happy with the standard L2D-CE.

Note that the seller at Amazon isn't even Amazon. Just someone with a username "FENIX" that uses some ebay-style photos.

And there's the rub, will that seller be there for you when there is a problem or defective item like the Fenix-Store? Peace of mind has to be worth something, right?

Keep in mind to that the Fenix Store includes shipping in the price of the light, and Amazon only includes free shipping on things they themselves sell, and I believe all of the Fenix lights listed on Amazon are sold by 2nd party sellers. I'll be using Brightguy or the Fenix Store for my next Fenix purchase.

Because there are defective lights from Fenix from time to time I would always advise buying from a reputable dealer that backs the product.I believe dealing with Fenix directly would be difficult and you have to pay for parts.
