Its not often that I envy other users' watches but that is a lovely looking watch.
Thank you! I'm quite taken with it myself. It works well on the bracelet too.

Doc produced 50 of its big brother (half date, the other half no-dates). I'm trying to track one down now.

This is my second Casio G-Shock, and ideally it's my only watch, that I've purchased in many years.

So, far I'm really digging it!

Looks like a "sleeper" in that it appears to be some kinda geek looking plastic number that could be used for the David vs Goliath thing because in reality under the hood is a nice chunk of solid steel.

It definitely feels like it can take a lickin' and keep on tickin'
Received watch with time out of sync, 4 hrs fast. I read this can happen when x-rayed. So, waiting to see if time automatically corrects.. I'll watch a few u-tube vids, maybe that'll enlighten me to the issue.

Not sure if or how x rays affect a watch.

This G Shock has multiband 6 Atomic sets time to towers signals (6) around world. Closest to my location is Ft Collins CO.. So I read sitting watch on a window sill that faces that direction works, as well making sure I got watch set in correct time zone.
Yeah, I can't figure out why nuking the watch would effect the ability to receive signal, something found on Reddit (-;

i like it stays on for a few seconds after i hit butten the light i mean becuase when im on my motoercycle i can reach over hit butten and its still on when i lift it to face to see time lol

I love auto watches.
Currently wearing a Lumtec x4. I got it because I love titanium and carbon fiber (forged), it matches my daily knife as well. Plus I like seeing the internals of the watch through the back case.

My ideal watch doesn't exist yet...perpetual energy, a light source, rugged, between 8 and 12mm thick, between 39-42mm diameter, minimum waterproof 200m, chrono, perpetual calendar, moon phase, alarm, diver style, depth/altitude gauge, unbranded/unlettered besides tasteful logo and calendar, titanium.

For the moment, this is the closest I have to "ideal", but I'm starting to hate the non-chrono and the moon face. I wish I had bought the dark moon or blood moon one instead.

What would be really cool, when you turn the crown. You could go back, or forward in time as well.
It would take a shocking amount of time, but I'd rewind that thing to a certain date in 1914, and tell a certain idiot driver not to turn down a certain street. Almost no one realizes this, but the closest we came to World Peace was the very early 1900s. Sure, there were skirmishes breaking out in certain parts of the world. But all the developed nations were enjoying actual Peace back then. Had that first world war never taken place, it would have changed literally everything.... Quite frankly, for the better.

Unfortunately, changing one thing doesn't mean everything else will stay the same. We have no idea what changing the route in 1914 would have caused to happen down the road, pun intended.

Just like in Back to the Future, right? Don't mess with the space time continuum, or else!

Realistically, no assassination (the guy in charge of the conspirators thought he had missed his opportunity, and stopped to buy lunch)! No war = An entire generation of leaders ready to take over. Instead of being decimated! Causing old men to stay in power longer, who had become senile and too old to carry on. Flip side being you had a generation of very young, very immature men being given positions of power and leadership they were not ready for.

A failed painter with an Oliver Hardy moustache and deformed genitalia would have remained a failed painter. Likely living on the streets, barely getting by and sometimes finding shelter in temporary public housing for the poor. Continuing to draw images of buildings and outdoor scenes on small pieces of paper. Selling those for a few bills to afford food.... Instead of becoming a German war veteran during the first world war. Using that experience to convince people in that nation to follow him.

No power for him = no Holocaust. No millions upon millions of people exterminated for the high crime of simply existing. No 2nd Great war. No national policies created as a result of that 2nd World war. Some of which, in many nations, are still in place.

Oh yes, no 2nd World war would have meant no Cold War! Hey! No Communism if the first world war had never taken place! No Soviet Union that turned every one of its citizens into slaves (including my parents, myself, and my relatives).

Yes, we can't say exactly what the world would be like, today had the first world war never taken place. But there is no way it would be the $#&%hole that it became.

That's one possible scenario, there are millions of others.
