Its not often that I envy other users' watches but that is a lovely looking watch.Picked this up the other day. Couldn't resist the polar face and caught a good deal on it.

Looks like a "sleeper" in that it appears to be some kinda geek looking plastic number that could be used for the David vs Goliath thing because in reality under the hood is a nice chunk of solid steel. This is my second Casio G-Shock, and ideally it's my only watch, that I've purchased in many years.
So, far I'm really digging it!

Received watch with time out of sync, 4 hrs fast. I read this can happen when x-rayed. So, waiting to see if time automatically corrects.. I'll watch a few u-tube vids, maybe that'll enlighten me to the issue.
Not sure if or how x rays affect a watch.
I envy you sometimes, old friend.im diging my new armitron 5 bucks i love its bright red band and watch. and the light stays ona few seconds
Walk in to a Rolex store, spend an hour just carefully gathering up everything you wanted before walking out.Old thread I know, but my ideal watch would be the one in the Twilight Zone episode that would stop time on demand.

It would take a shocking amount of time, but I'd rewind that thing to a certain date in 1914, and tell a certain idiot driver not to turn down a certain street. Almost no one realizes this, but the closest we came to World Peace was the very early 1900s. Sure, there were skirmishes breaking out in certain parts of the world. But all the developed nations were enjoying actual Peace back then. Had that first world war never taken place, it would have changed literally everything.... Quite frankly, for the better. What would be really cool, when you turn the crown. You could go back, or forward in time as well.
Unfortunately, changing one thing doesn't mean everything else will stay the same. We have no idea what changing the route in 1914 would have caused to happen down the road, pun intended.
Realistically, no assassination (the guy in charge of the conspirators thought he had missed his opportunity, and stopped to buy lunch)! No war = An entire generation of leaders ready to take over. Instead of being decimated! Causing old men to stay in power longer, who had become senile and too old to carry on. Flip side being you had a generation of very young, very immature men being given positions of power and leadership they were not ready for.Unfortunately, changing one thing doesn't mean everything else will stay the same. A failed painter with an Oliver Hardy moustache and deformed genitalia would have remained a failed painter. Likely living on the streets, barely getting by and sometimes finding shelter in temporary public housing for the poor. Continuing to draw images of buildings and outdoor scenes on small pieces of paper. Selling those for a few bills to afford food.... Instead of becoming a German war veteran during the first world war. Using that experience to convince people in that nation to follow him.
No power for him = no Holocaust. No millions upon millions of people exterminated for the high crime of simply existing. No 2nd Great war. No national policies created as a result of that 2nd World war. Some of which, in many nations, are still in place.
Oh yes, no 2nd World war would have meant no Cold War! Hey! No Communism if the first world war had never taken place! No Soviet Union that turned every one of its citizens into slaves (including my parents, myself, and my relatives).
Yes, we can't say exactly what the world would be like, today had the first world war never taken place. But there is no way it would be the $#&%hole that it became.
