Anyone know, I am edging to get a new EDC mini carry, and I love the little surefire's looks and build, I would buy a p1d-ce now, or just save a bit more and by the time they are released i wouldnt be out of pocket... (i hope)

so does anyone guesstimate when these champs will be coming out ?..

the better question is,
when will they release the new night-ops gladius ?

Maybe this is a dumb question, but I'm not that familiar with Surefire. Will the new SFs be 3.7V rechargeable-friendly?

June is what they told me when I called...
I hope they are more reliable than Kaidomain and the Rexlight, LOL!!!
At least SF does not ask for the funds first:)

They don't have to ask for the funds up front with their profits.I know because I bought a few.

Here is the response I received when I asked the via email. I received this response on April 10th.

As much as I wish SureFire the best of luck with meeting their self-imposed release dates I personally perfer not to put any hope in release dates.
If I want an as-yet, unreleased product I place my pre-order with a friendly SureFire Dealer and get on with the rest of my life rather than actively wait [and get all stressed by every delay/setback].

No SureFires shall be used with "3.7V rechargeable" batteries. SF123A batteries or SureFire's own rechargeable systems only as per the product instructions.
Use of aftermarket rechargeable batteries is entirely at user's own risk.
I personally don't care for aftermarket rechargeables and so have no desire to confirm whether or not they can be used, only that they shouldn't be.

Al :)

That's too bad because it's the only way I'd buy one. Hopefully they will work with those batts w/o blowing up, even if it at my own risk :sssh:

Then we wait for the early adopters to relay the kinks. ;) In that e-mail, it's written as "ordered"...who knows the actual time when they are available for easy purchase. :(

Sounds like the same story as last year with the Kroma if anyone recalls. Surefire unveiled it at Shot Show, said they would be shipping by June, but mot people didnt get them until September or October. Dont hold Surefire to release dates because we all know how notorious they are for not meeting them.

Will they be releasing the KX1/3/5 heads separately at the same time as the lights? Or will I just have to get a pull from Lighthound.

In line with previous releases it is likely that SureFire will release whole flashlights for quite a while before they have enough excess stock to offer the individual bezels. That, and they seem to prefer you to buy a whole flashlight.

BTW, there is no new KL3 (no "KX3")

E1L $99
E2L $129
KL1 $59 (only $40 less than than a whole flashlight)

L5 $189
KL5 $145 (only $44 less than than a whole flashlight)

SureFire stated that the prices of these updated products should not be increased over the current prices.
