where can I buy Q5 or P4 mounted on stars in the US ?

I'm guessing this has been mentioned a 1000 times, but the problem is that my searches on the site resulted in too many hits and no direct answers I could find. So here it goes.....

I'd like to find a source to buy pre-mounted emitters on stars in the US. I know I can get them from overseas sources like DX, but I'd rather pay a little more to source them here, and not wait weeks to months.

Any choices ?

I guess my second choice would be to source bare emitters and stars in the US, and bone up on my soldering skills.

e-lectronics.net has Q5s available on 15,18, and 21 mm stars. My experience with this store has all been +++. Shipping is fast, I usually get my parts withing 3 days of purchase.

Wow, ask and you shall receive. Thanks much for the quick responses.

I don't think star vs. round will make much difference for me. I'll be using the emitters to build custom bike lights, and looks like a 20mm OD on the board will work well.

ETG usually has a reel of Q5's open. The last few times I bought from them they had WG tint, which is better than the WC at e-electronics.

They can mount them on round pcb's for you.

The nice part is you can see stock levels, and you can get them as fast as our willing to pay. Using regular UPS, I generally have them in my hands in a couple of days.
