Where is the best place to buy a leadlight 110? I know For a while the ebay user "nsacres" was selling them, but as of right now they are selling them no longer. thanks.

Arnold said he had them, but is selling out the 105's first. That, or he *meant* he'll have them when he sells out of 105's.

I'd ask him in any event.

If your interested in modding a 110 to increase the power, I would avoid www.cleverlaser.com. A neighbor bought a "new" 5mw leadlight from cleverlaser and asked my help in cranking up the power. When I removed the power button I noticed that it had already been drilled through. This was obviously not a new virgin leadlight I told him. I did both the pot and diode mod, but was only able to get 8mw out of it. I really think that clever is closely associated with WL and the units that WL cannot get decent output on are then sold through clever. There is no proof of this, it is only my opinion.

I'm not sure if they sell 110's or not. the one that my neighbor bought was not a 110.

This brings up a question I have. I've purchased 3 leadlights (2 from atlasnova, 1 from vital spirit) each one already had a hole exposing the pot under the power button. Does that mean that they were not "virgin?" I've always been curious about that.

Someone contacted Vital Spirit about a hole they found above the pot. According to Vital spirit, they recieve them factory predrilled so I wouldn't assume that just because the hole is there that it isn't a "virgin" leadlight.

Yeah some do come like that, my guess is that Leadlight are now starting to adjust them to 5mw before shipping to avoid too many high powers escaping...

Out of the several I've had with the hole already made - there were no signes that the pot had been turned after the manufacturing - and this was confirmed when a couple reached 30mw+.

You can sometimes tell by looking at the glue around the button if it has been off at the distributor stage.

why would they come factory predrilled?

Because if more than 30% of large shipment (say 1000) measure over 20mW the lasers will have their FDA approved status revoked.

Still, it's interesting that the atlasnova were predrilled. Both of mine were in the 10-14mw range. So if they were factory drilled to ensure <5mw, someone was asleep at the wheel. And I do believe that Arnold does not modify his. But turning the pot on his gave me no more power. Oh, wait, you said they do it to make sure that they were not over 20mw. I guess that does make sense. Can anyone say if the Atlasnova high spec units (>30mw)are predrilled?

So if alot of leadlights in a shipment do turn out to be 20mw+ do they just lower the current on these or do they completely remove them from the shipment?

i just received my first vital spirit chrome pointer. it's much stronger than both of my atlas novas' i would almost say twice as bright. the beam is twice or thrice as big. arnold rated my two lasers as 14.6 and 14.3. is he usually accurate? if he is, then i would have to rate this closer to 40mw. is that possible. it's not as bright as my phoenix, about half as bright. is it possible to get a stock 30 or 40 mw greenie from vital spirit?
