I have read "consumer grade batteries" in referring to batteries that provide less than optimal current.
Is it possible that Ginseng and other Gurus come out on a limb and recommend the BEST high current battery for the MAG 85??

Ginseng's endorsed the Sanyo 2100mAH batteries (specifically 2100) before. I'm using them for all my AA rechargeable needs including my Mag85, thus far they have not disappointed.

At 3.15A, frankly, there is no need to go high current. However, if one were inclined to use HC cells, the CBP1650 from www.Cheapbatterypacks.com are the ticket. Keep in mind though, that you might have to step back to 8 cells to maintain the same bulb life since the cell voltage under load will be superior. In the end it might be a wash. But hey, different strokes for different strokes. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
